The K-Laser at Animal Medical Center on Romany is a specialized piece of veterinary equipment that delivers a painless laser light into the body. The light provides energy to the cells, and results in increased circulation in the area. This draws oxygen and nutrients to the affected area, creating an optimal healing environment, reducing inflammation, swelling, muscle spasm, stiffness and pain. There is no patient sedation or restraint required, and the experience is usually pleasant and comforting to the pet.
K-Laser treatments are cumulative in nature. At AMC Romany we vary the length and frequency of treatments with your pet's condition. Even though improvement may be seen after the first visit, most patients require several (3 to 8) for greatest benefit. Most sites require 3 to 8 minutes per treatment.
